Seattle Cop Who Issued 80 Percent of Pot Tickets Reassigned
Thu Jul 31, 2014
In reply to: Baron Marbot-3100778 #17 In case you couldn't figure it out from the article, the tickets were valid, just the percentage is crazy. He was absolutely upholding the law by ticketing those who were illegally smoking pot in public. The law says you can be in possession and …
'Stop Hatin' All the Time' : Obama Slams GOP Lawsuit Vote
Wed Jul 30, 2014
In reply to: TeaTaliban Grass Root Herbicide #57 It's funny because that list applies equally to both parties, but go on pretending this is a 1-sided problem. You'll just get more of the same until both sides of the aisle are tossed out and replaced with people who care more about doing good f …
Obama: Bergdahl 'Is Somebody's Child,' No Apologies for Swap
Thu Jun 5, 2014
In reply to: wje37fcsm #20 Yes, because the only reason we're upset that laws were broken and Taliban leaders were freed is because Obama did it. Keep believing that if it helps you feel better, but you're in for a rude awakening someday. Why does everyone insist on making everything about Dem …
Colorado Lawmakers Tackle Edible Pot Problem
Wed Apr 30, 2014
Wait, so a drug well-known for causing the munchies is put into food products, and people are somehow shocked that people are taking too much? What a surprise!!!
Forget 4K TVs: Most Americans still own a VCR
Wed Jan 8, 2014
Yeah, definitely a poorly-worded question (or else well-worded to fit some preconceived narrative?) that results in a very misleading answer. Technically I have a VCR somewhere, I'm sure, but it hasn't been plugged in for years.
Toy firm sues Beastie Boys over song parody
Tue Nov 26, 2013
If you were to read the article before commenting, you'd know that the Beastie Boys lost Adam Yauch so don't exist as a group but they have always opposed their music being used for advertisements, and that's the reason for the issue. It's clearly not a publicity stunt since they aren't tourin …
Precedent set? Woman ticketed for wearing Google Glass while driving
Thu Oct 31, 2013
Comparisons to GPS are perfectly valid, and anyone who has a GPS should know that it is illegal to do anything other than listen to one while driving. If you're looking at the GPS screen then you aren't looking at the road and it is a ticketable offense. There's a reason that you get a w …
Before the beards: 'Duck Dynasty' stars are unrecognizable
Thu Oct 17, 2013
Shouldn't a Before and After photo comparison have the same people in them? Only 2 of the men who were supposedly the focus of the story are in both pictures. Guess you can't make the story as good when you involve things like facts, eh?
Quiz: Are you a member of the new American center?
Tue Oct 15, 2013
Being fiscally conservative is more about making sure to not spend more than you make, that kind of thing, rather than wanting to spend as little as possible. Being fiscally conservative and socially liberal are not mutually exclusive in the least.
Keeping tabs on beer: Michigan law would require each beer pint to have 16 ounces
Mon Oct 7, 2013
Yes, because it was a pint of beer. What you seem to not know is that some measurements, pints included, have liquid and dry measures. This is why you can buy a pint of milk (liquid) or a pint of ice cream (solid) yet both are perfectly valid measurements.
